Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho claims an "impossible" save from Thibaut Courtois paved the way for Atletico Madrid to win last night's Champions League semi-final.

Mourinho said that two incidents decided the game: the save by Courtois from John Terry early in the second half, and the penalty awarded to Atletico shortly afterwards.

The first incident will be particularly galling for Blues fans, as Courtois is owned by Chelsea - but is currently on-loan at Atletico.

Many Chelsea supporters will now be clamouring for Courtois' return to Stamford Bridge, given the outstanding performances he put in during the two legs of the semi-final.

Mourinho also admitted the penalty was fair, saying he was "happy" with the award having been informed by several different sources that the decision was correct.
