FULL TIME: West Brom 1-0 Manchester United

That's it at the Hawthorns. Not for one second did United look like they were going to get back into this after going behind. They were forced to play with 10 men for 65 minutes after Juan Mata's early red, but Louis van Gaal's side against mustered just one shot on goal all game. That isn't good enough.

Juan Mata

Four minutes of time added on.

Change for West Brom as Sandro comes on for Saido Berahino

Now Memphis is penalised for a foul throw. Dreadful.

Matteo Darmian, has had a disappointing game, is off to be replaced by Timothy Fosu-Mensah. Seven minutes plus stoppage time remain.

Depay looking a threat already, skipping inside Gardner and winning a free kick in the process.

Another change for United, Marcus Rashford is off with Memphis Depay replacing him.

Nothing is happening for United going forward at the minute, West Brom look the more likely to score. Van Gaal has two deep lying midfielders on the pitch at the minute, do you need that chasing a goal?

West Brom have the lead! After some measured build-up the ball is sprayed out wide to sub Pocognoli who drills a terrific ball into the six yard area. Rondon is completely unmarked and has all the time in the world to take the ball down and fire into the bottom corner.

Goal! West Brom 1-0 Manchester United (Salomon Rondon, 66)

Sub for United as Morgan Schneiderlin comes on for Herrera.

Herrera drills a low one on goal but it is harmless.

Martial chests the ball down and bears down on goal but just as he is about to pull the trigger he is tripped by the challenge of Olsson. A booking for the Baggies defender and a free kick on the edge of the box for United.

Rondon beats Blind brilliantly to open up space for himself to run into but Herrera slides in ahead to make an important challenge. West Brom finding the initiative again.

United have been much better these past five minutes or so.

What an effort from Lingard! Finding no room down the left wing, he cuts inside and tries to curl one into the top corner but his effort is just too high, coming off the roof of the net.

Rashford backheels the ball into Rojo who tries to thump a cross in from the left. It appears to strike the arm of Garner on the way but Mike Dean waves away hand ball appeals.

Blind has two goes from the corner but West Brom deal with both of them.

Martial does brilliantly, cutting in from the left down the byline, riding two challenges before cutting it back to Rashford who strikes for goal, only to see his effort deflected wide. United corner.

The second half starts as the first ended with United largely pinned in their own half. Martial a few moment ago tried to take the lot of them on, but got nowhere quickly.

And West Brom get us back underway at the Hawthorns.
