What Does The US President Smell Like? Attendees at Davos Say Trump's Odour Was Noticeable
Multiple Davos participants claim Trump's smell was strong enough to prompt complaints

During the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos, several attendees reportedly noticed a strong odour linked to US President Donald Trump. Sources described the smell in vivid terms, with some participants claiming its intensity was enough to turn planes around or temporarily evacuate meeting spaces. While unusual for high-level gatherings, reports suggest the odour was persistent and widely commented on by both anonymous insiders and social media users.

X Reacts to Trump's Bad Odour Allegations
According to X posts, even an anonymous oil executive reportedly described the smell as similar to 'rotten roast beef and shit', emphasising the severity of the reaction in closed environments. Another comment jokingly referred to Trump as 'Sir Poops A Lot', noting that he seemed unaware of the odour even when others could smell it clearly.
Social media commentary corroborated the reports. One user noted that a plane was allegedly turned around and a Davos conference room temporarily evacuated due to a 'horrible smell making people nauseous'. While unverified, these reports align with other attendee anecdotes suggesting the smell caused disruptions during official proceedings.
Well they did turn one plane around, and then there was an evacuation of a davos conference room because of a "horrible smell making people nauseous" not even kiddinghttps://t.co/1RZjpHMHTg

However, it's not because of Trump. Reports said it's due to a fire that broke out, with Trump already out of the building. Multiple accounts suggest that Trump's odour was consistent enough to provoke reactions from several people, including high-profile delegates, although it remains unclear whether formal complaints were filed.
Trump's Smell, According to First-Hand Accounts
Based on first-hand accounts cited in the Reddit discussion, observers describe Donald Trump's odour as unusually strong and noticeable, combining multiple sources of smell. Some describe it as a mix of body odour (BO) and baby powder, with a distinctive 'rotisserie-human' scent when combined with skin products like fake tan, oils and makeup. People report that it is noticeable even outdoors and in crowded rooms.
Comic actor Noel Casler, who worked closely with Trump on Celebrity Apprentice, said Trump has worn diapers since at least the 1990s due to incontinence, worsened by decades of stimulant use (Adderall, cocaine). Casler claimed Trump would sometimes soil himself after getting frustrated or angry, and the smell would be noticeable on set. Changes were often handled offstage by aides, such as Keith Schiller.
Comments reiterated Casler's accounts: Trump has long-term diaper use, incontinence, frequent public bowel evacuations during press and White House meetings, wears lifts and a girdle, and relies on aides to clean him. He also reportedly has bad breath, dentures and a prosthetic in the roof of his mouth due to years of stimulant abuse. Combined with his diet, skin products and fake tan, this contributes to his distinctive odour.
Even former GOP congressman Adam Kinzinger described Trump's odour as 'truly something to behold' and warned followers to 'wear a mask' in his presence. Observers likened the scent to a combination of armpits, ketchup, buttocks and makeup blended together, which is a pungent mix that they say is hard to ignore.
Some suggest additional contributing factors include a greasy diet, multiple vitamins, artificial tanning products and age-related odour, producing a perfumed-but-off-putting scent. However, some said this 'uniquely odd' smell reportedly differs from simple 'shitty' smells, indicating a combination of hygiene, diet and chemicals.
