Arsenal have confirmed two new additions to their pre-season tour after announcing games in Scandinavia before the start of the season. The Gunners will finalise their preparations for the 2016/17 Premier League campaign with games against Viking FK and Manchester City in Norway and Sweden respectively.

The north London club had already confirmed a pre-season tour to the US, where they will play twice. The first game is against an MLS All-Star side, while the second will be against Chivas de Guadalajara in San Jose and Los Angeles respectively. The games in the US will be followed up by their trip to Scandinavia. Arsene Wenger is delighted that the club

The games in the US will be followed up by their trip to Scandinavia. Arsene Wenger is delighted that the club are going to Norway, with their last visit coming during the 2004/05 campaign when they played a Champions League tie against Rosenborg BK.

"Pre-season is a very important time for the team and our trips to the US and then Scandinavia give us a good mixture of games to get ready for the new campaign," Wenger said, as quoted by Arsenal's official site.

"On a personal note, I am happy that we are returning to Norway and Sweden for the first time in a while because we have some fantastic support in both countries. Many supporters travel all the way to London to watch us play so it will be good to be able come to them this time and hopefully put in two good performances."

The manager is also delighted at the prospect of returning to America, following their trip in 2014 when they visited New York and took on the New York Red Bulls, who had Gunners legend Thierry Henry in their lineup.

"We have tremendous support across America and enjoyed our visit to New York in the summer of 2014 when we played the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena. We look forward to giving our US fans the chance to see the team play live," the French coach added.

Below is a list of Arsenal's pre-season fixtures with dates and venues. Kick-off times and additional games will be updated when the club confirm at a later date.
