Arsenal are reportedly planning an audacious triple swoop to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira and Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.

The Gunners have invested in this summer transfer window as Arsene Wenger has already added Alexis Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy, David Ospina and Calum Calum Chambers to their squad.

The Express reports the north London club's manager Arsene Wenger is looking to further bolster Arsenal's squad for the new campaign.

The Frenchman wants his side to compete on all fronts, with the Premier League being a priority as he looks to challenge Manchester City for the league title.

The Uruguayan international has long been linked with a move to Arsenal's league rivals Manchester United.

However, the twenty-time English champions are out of the Champions League and the lack of European football could see them face an uphill task in signing the former Napoli star.

Cavani's agent earlier revealed the Gunners and Liverpool were interested in signing the South American striker.

The PSG star is believed to be unhappy with his life in the French capital and could make a £51m switch to the Premier League this summer, with the Emirates being his likely destination.

The Anfield club could provide competition to Arsenal in securing a deal for Cavani. Wenger is looking to further bolster the Gunners's attacking division and the Uruguayan striker would be a perfect fit.

Arsenal are also in need of a holding or defensive midfielder. Wenger has long been tracking the Real star as he looks to bring Khedira to the Emirates.

However, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is also looking to sign Germany's World Cup-winning midfielder.

The Champions League winners are willing to offload Khedira, who is attracting interest from Arsenal and Chelsea in recent times.

He has one year left on his contract and Real are likely to offload him this summer.

Wenger has long been an admirer of Reus and is planning to make a raid to sign the German international. He has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid in the past few weeks.

However, the Bundesliga champions have confirmed they are not in the frame to sign the Dortmund midfielder.

Atletico have also made it public that Reus has never been on their agenda. With Bayern and Atletico out of the race, Wenger is likely to make an approach to land Reus.
