Agent Roberto La Florio has confirmed that Arsenal have shown interest in teen striker Stephan El Shaarawy, with the youngster reportedly considering the possibility of a move to the Gunners on loan.

At just 19 years of age, El Shaarawy has already been standing up with the senior players at AC Milan, and the Italy Under 21 International has already scored two goals in 22 appearances for the club.

But Milan are said to be considering sending him out on loan, with many of those appearances coming from the bench.

Stephan El Shaarawy is a target for Arsenal, according to his agent.

And La Florio has now revealed that Arsenal have shown interest in the youngster on many occasions, and has left the door open to a possibility of a move in the summer if the north London club make the right offer.

He told Metro: "Arsenal have always admired him - even before he transferred to Milan, but the Rossoneri have already agreed to his ownership, and I do not know if they'll let him go."

Strikers look to be high on Arsenal's list this summer, with Lukas Podolski also strongly connected to a possible move to the club.

The transfer window looks set to be yet another difficult time for Arsene Wenger, with both Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott coming into the final 12 months of their contracts.

And with a clean out set to take place, with the likes of Marouane Chamakh, Carlos Vela and Andrey Arshavin facing exits, the club could be looking at making some purchases come June.
