Aston Villa have injury doubts over Alan Hutton, Ciaran Clark, Kieran Richardson and Jordan Veretout heading into their last game of the season against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday (15 May). Villa are already consigned to playing Championship football next season and Eric Black, the caretaker manager, has revealed they could be without a number of senior players for the daunting-looking fixture.

Arsenal go into to match hoping that a victory will be enough to see them leapfrog their eternal rivals Tottenham Hotspur and claim second position in the Premier League. Villa may have to cope with a number of key absentees for the trip to the Emirates, although striker Rudy Gestede is back in training.

"We have a few injury issues. We have had one or two not train since the Newcastle match," Black said during a pre-match press conference, according to the club's official website. "Alan Hutton is feeling his calf a little bit. Ciaran Clark is feeling his ankle.

"Kieran Richardson is still struggling with his calf and Jordan Veretout is still struggling with his hip. The one positive, however, is that Rudy Gestede trained today so we will see how he reacts to that."

Meanwhile, Black also opened up about his own future at the club, admitting he is unsure if he will be at Villa next season. "I spoke to the chairman this morning and he thanked me for keeping the ship going," Black shared. "But come Sunday, I'll just wait and see what happens."
