Barcelona star Luis Suarez has reiterated his love for former club Liverpool by revealing that he will never play for any other Premier League club if he returns to England in the future. The Uruguayan forward moved to the La Liga following three successful seasons at Anfield.

The 29-year-old striker was prolific during his time in the Premier League and has now stepped it up a notch at the Camp Nou alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar. Suarez is currently the top scorer in the La Liga, having notched up 18 goals in 19 appearances thus far this campaign. He is also four ahead of the number of goals he scored in the entirety of last season in all competitions.

The Uruguay international was a fan favourite at Anfield and almost helped the Merseyside club to their first Premier League title during the 2013/14 campaign when they lost the title to Manchester City by just two points. He left the club to join Barcelona in a reported £75m ($107.5m) deal the following season and has since formed a deadly partnership with Messi and Neymar. Suarez won the treble with the Catalan giants in his first season but has not ruled out a return to the Premier League in the future. But the former Ajax striker made it clear that he will only return if he can play with Liverpool.

"You never know what will happen in the future. If I was to return to England, it would be to play for Liverpool — not for any other team," Suarez said, as quoted by the Guardian.

"I have missed the fans. The atmosphere [at Anfield] is incredible, it's incredible. Everyone that has played for Liverpool knows how important the supporters are. They know that they are in my heart," the Barcelona forward added.
