A Malibu family who was involved in a multiple car crash allegedly triggered by reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner has filed a lawsuit against her. The Wolf-Millesi family were travelling in a Hummer which was involved in the four-car crash, which left one woman dead.

It is alleged that in February 2015 the American celebrity collided with a white Lexus whilst traveling in a black Escalade on the Pacific Coast Highway, California. The car was pushed forward hitting the Wolf-Mellisi's vehicle head-on.

Kim Howe, who was driving the Lexus, died in the incident. Papers pertaining to the lawsuit say that Peter Wolf-Millesi suffered wrist injuries, his one month old son was unresponsive after the accident, his wife sustained blunt force injuries and requires ongoing treatment, and two others were also seriously injured.

The LA County Sheriff's Department carried out a criminal investigation at the time, but decided that they would not press charges for vehicular manslaughter against Jenner. The police force did find that the 66-year-old was travelling at a speed that was unsafe for the conditions and concluded: "Jenner was not paying attention and failed to brake in time… which caused her to strike the Lexus, which ricocheted into the Hummer," reported entertainment website TMZ.

The lawsuit is claiming that Jenner was negligent, and was filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, stating that: "The emotional effects of being involved in a collision that has taken the life of another has caused tremendous distress and suffering for the Wolf-Millesi family."

This is the third law suit filed following the collision, after the family of Ms Howe and another driver also attempted to sue Jenner. The Keeping up with the Kardashians star was once married Kris Kardashian and has two daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

After the accident, Jenner said in a statement: "It is a devastating tragedy. I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them."

The lawsuit did not specify an amount being sought.
