Chelsea take on Barcelona in their penultimate friendly of the season in the International Champions Cup on 29 July.

Where to Watch Live

Kick-off is set for 1am BST (29 July). Live coverage of the game will be on Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 1 HD.

Overview

Chelsea will take encouragement from Manchester United's performance against the mighty Catalans in their last game, which they won 3-1, and a win here for Jose Mourinho's men will lay the groundwork for their Community Shield game against Arsenal at Wembley next weekend.

The Blues come into the game on the back of a win on penalties over Paris Saint-Germain where Thibaut Courtois scored the final kick to secure the victory, after he had saved Thiago Silva's goal-bound shot. Mourinho will be looking to give his fringe players as much game time as possible to get them ready for the season, with Radamel Falcao and Asmir Begovic likely to start proceedings.

Mourinho has already started firing bullets at his opponents by claiming that they are trying to buy the title by spending an enormous amount of money this season. In comparison, the Blues have been relatively quiet, with the manager hoping that they can carry their form forward from last year and reclaim the trophy.

Meanwhile, Barcelona manager Luis Enrique will be hoping his side puts in a better show than against United, but will not be too worried given that he is without Lionel Messi and Neymar, who are still recovering from their participation in the Copa America.

Luis Suarez hit the post twice against United and the Catalans missed a plethora of chances, which Enrique labelled as unfortunate, but they will be looking to put the ghosts behind him and put in a better showing.
