Leicester City take on Club Brugge in the 2016/17 Champions League clash at the Jan Breydel Stadium on 14 September, Wednesday.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is at 7:45pm BST. Live coverage is on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport 2 HD. Radio commentary of the game is available on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Overview

Club Brugge have qualified for this season's group stage of the Champions League after winning the Belgian Pro League last season. They failed to make it to this stage of the Europe's elite club competition, following their elimination from the qualifiers.

The Belgium outfit lost to Manchester United in the qualifiers and the latter progressed to the next round of the competition. Michel Preud'homme's side will be hoping to start the European competition on a brighter note with a victory over the Premier League winners.

However, Brugge's recent record is something they would be looking to forget when they take on Leicester. In the last league fixture, Brugge suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Waasland-Beveren and that has seen them register only one win in the last five matches played in all competitions.

Leicester, on the other hand, enter this fixture after suffering a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool at Anfield. The Reds dominated the game as the Foxes were no match for Jurgen Klopp's side, who played their first match of the campaign at home.

Claudio Ranieri guided his side to their first Premier League success and that has seen them take part in the European competition. Leicester are making their debut in the Champions League and it should be whether they can return to England with three points.
