The 25-year-old drag queen, who shot to fame after winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, with her song Rise Like A Phoenix, received a rousing welcome as she took to the stage at the famous London hotspot.

The Austrian singer, whose real name is Tom Neuwirth, had earlier joined Graham Norton on his chat show, and it was the TV host who helped orchestrate the live appearance at G-A-Y.

Wearing a black strapped corset with a flowing train, matched with fish nets and high heels, Wurst was her usual glamorous self as she performed for the enthusiastic crowd.

G-A-Y manager Jeremy Joseph said: "The moment she won the contest having her perform was a must. When she won my twitter feed went mad, it was thanks to Graham that we got her last night, her performance was phenomenal, it was fantastic and she was incredible."

Wurst follows in the footsteps of Kylie Minogue and Miley Cyrus, who have each performed at the club.

Meanwhile, the bearded lady has found celebrity support from the likes of Norton who introduced her at G-A-Y as well as Elton John and singer Cher.

The 25-year-old singer, who was earlier a guest at the amfAR gala in Cannes has clearly enjoyed her visit to London.

She tweeted: "Waking in london feels so good! It's like my 2nd home already good Morning to #theunstoppables"
