Neo Christopher Langston — a 23-year old Twitch streamer known online as NeoTheAsian and a close associate of singer D4vd — was arrested on 22 January 2026 for failing to appear as a witness before a grand jury.

Langston's arrest is connected to the ongoing investigation into the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas. Her remains were discovered on 8 September 2025 inside a Tesla register to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. The vehicle had been abandoned in a Los Angeles impound lot, where staff reported a foul smell emanating from it.

Private investigator Steve Fischer previously said he had uncovered security footage showing who moved the vehicle.

Neo Langston Arrest Details

Neo Langston was apprehended by the Helena Police Department at his mother's residence on Knight Street in Montana. The arrest was carried out on behalf of the LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division following a felony warrant for his failure to appear as a witness. He was initially booked into the Lewis & Clark County Detention Centre before being extradited to Los Angeles.

Following his extradition, he was held on a $60,000 (approximately £44,000) bond, which reports suggest he has since paid to secure his release from custody. Authorities have described him as a significant witness in the case, though he has not been charged with homicide.

Local journalist, Thom Bridge, City Editor of Helena Independent Record, photographed Langston's arrest and shared images online.

Private Investigator's Claims

Private investigator Steve Fischer had been hired by the owner of the Hollywood Hills property rented by D4vd to determine whether the residence played any role in Rivas' murder. In October 2025, Fischer revealed that his investigation had uncovered footage from neighbourhood security cameras showing the Tesla being moved in late July 2025, around the time authorities believe Rivas' remains may have been inside the trunk.

Fischer said he is 'certain' of the driver's identity but has not publicly named the individual. 'I'm certain I know who it is,' Fischer said. 'I can't say, but there is surveillance from the 29th and I'm certain I know who this person is.'

Internet Sleuths Speculate on Langston's Role

Following Langston's arrest, online discussion intensified. Posts on Reddit and other platforms have speculated whether Langston may have been involved in moving D4vd's Tesla. Many believe that the person Fischer saw on the neighbourhood's footage moving and abandoning the vehicle in late July was the Twitch streamer. These claims remain unverified and are based on user-generated timelines and interpretations of Fischer's statements.

For example, Reddit user Extension-Soil-3189 has made a timeline of Langston's whereabouts based on his social media activities. They wrote: '29 July - D4vd's black Tesla was seen moving for the last time on surveillance by an individual wearing "identifiable" clothing, who "immediately" went on tour afterwards. The individual was also spotted wearing the same "identifiable" clothing 12 hours before this, entering d4vd's Vireo Dr residence. Suspected to be Neo.'

In a separate Reddit post, user Puzzleheaded-Pin4278 also raised the same speculation: 'I saw this a while back some speculated that Neo was the one who moved D4VD's Tesla with Celeste's body in it. Is this looking more likely?'

Another user noted: 'I read somewhere maybe it was SF where they said the person driving the car just a few blocks opened all the windows and put in a new air freshener (as if that would do anything) which makes one believe the person who moved David's car knew about the body then lol.'

Some people suggested that Langston could 'flip', a move they believe would significantly complicate matters for D4vd. They wrote: 'The toughest of the toughest mafia, gang, murders, drug dealers, flip every day. Neo ain't even close to that level of tough. That boy is flipping.'

Broader Context

In November 2025, media outlets reported that D4vd had been identified as a suspect in the case. On 29 December 2025, TMZ reported that he was 'likely' to face indictment in connection with Rivas' death. No formal indictment has been announced.

Langston's arrest represents the first major development since the discovery of Rivas' remains. Observers believe his testimony could be pivotal in clarifying events surrounding the teenager's disappearance.
