Facebook has introduced the Timeline Movie Maker!

You can now create your own films, using the Facebook Timeline to highlight popular posts and photographs. The online social networking Web site launched the feature in partnership with Definition 6, a U.S.-based marketing, advertisement and web design agency.

It just takes few clicks to make your movie:

Step 1: Visit Timeline Movie Maker.

Step 2: Click on the "Make Your Movie" button.

Step 3: Log in to your Facebook account and grant the app access to your profile.

Step 4: The app will begin processing your photographs and posts into a movie. This will take a few minutes.

Step 5: Once the default movie plays through, you can then get to work customising it. Select from different soundtracks, change the photographs and do much more... really making the movie's look and feel as personal as possible.

In an effort to eliminate the apprehension or confusion surrounding the Timeline feature, this could prove to be a winning move by Facebook.

The Timeline feature, it is no secret, has been less than enthusiastically received by most people. A poll conducted by Sophos, in which over 4,000 Facebook users were asked what they thought of Timeline, revealed largely negative responses.

The participants were asked a series of questions and the percentage of people who identified are given below:

"The Facebook Timeline worries me" - 51.29 percent.

"I don't know why I'm still on Facebook" - 32.36 percent.

"I guess I'll get used to it" - 8.39 percent.

"I like it" - 7.96 percent.

In light of the above replies, the fact that the newly launched Movie Maker feature has already begun receiving a bit of good press, via constantly updating Tweets, must be heartening news for Mark Zuckerberg and co.
