Florida Woman Accuses Ex-Girlfriend of Dildo Theft
A collection of sex toys stolen from a Stor-All storage unit are at the centre of a growing row in Florida.
Ashley Rivera contacted police when she discovered that "three strap-on dildos" were allegedly taken from a storage unit by a female suspect after she broke up with her girlfriend following a rocky year-long relationship.
According to a report to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, Fort Pierce resident Rivera revealed the loss of three strap-on dildos among the items stolen, and has accused her former partner, saying that her ex had "gained access to her storage unit and removed some of her belongings."
Rivera said that she had allowed the suspect to keep some items in the storage facility, which contained furniture, electronics, clothes, and photographs belonging to Rivera and her family. Rivera estimates that her possessions plus the "three strap-on dildos and handcuffs valued at $300.00."
After the suspect, whose name cops redacted from the report, split up with Rivera, she allegedly gained access to the storage unit and removed "important paperwork" and "three strap-on dildos which [Rivera] stated she owned prior to the beginning of their relationship together," said investigators.
Rivera, who said she was unable to contact her ex about the missing dildos, concluded that the suspect "temporarily removed the items in an attempt to get back together with her, depriving Rivera the use of the property."
The value of the combined stolen goods, over $300, was large enough to be considered a Grand Theft case, and as such, has warranted an investigation.
