Heathrow Express hit by delays due to fatality at Southall

Emergency services called after man hit by train in west London.

A person has been killed after getting struck by a train at a west London station. Emergency services were called at around 2pm following reports of an incident at Southhall Railway station.

The train was a connecting service to Heathrow Airport.

The Heathrow express services warned passengers to expect delays and to allow extra time if you are travelling to Terminal 4.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers are on scene alongside the London Ambulance Service.

"A person has been pronounced dead. We are now working to identify the person and inform their family. We are not treating this incident as suspicious."

Heathrow Express said they will be operating the following amended timetable until further notice -

Trains will depart Paddington at 10 & 40 past the hour.

Trains will depart Terminal 5 at 12 & 42 past the hour.
