The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star Liam Hemsworth, still nursing a broken heart after his recent split with Miley Cyrus, has revealed that co-starJennifer Lawrence has taught him to be happier and 'enjoy the moment'.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Hemsworth revealed that his The Hunger Games: Catching Fire co-star has been more of a friend than a co-worker following his recent split with Cyrus. "These days I feel like I'm more centered and grounded than I've ever been," the 23-year-old actor said.

Hemsworth credits his successful post-breakup recovery to his Catching Fire heroine, though the duo's relationship is purely platonic.

"For a few years I went down a path where I forgot to be in the moment and enjoy the moment," he said. "But being around someone like Jen, who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I'm much happier."

According to a report from JustJared, the actors were seen cuddling while filming a scene for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 just weeks after Hemsworth's public breakup from We Can't Stop singer Cyrus.

Unfortunately for Hemsworth, Lawrence is already spoken for. Her on-and-off relationship with X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult may or may not eventually turn into something serious but for now the Oscar-winning actress doesn't seem to be inclined towards complicating matters. The couple (rumoured to be engaged) were last spotted together on 11 November, attending The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiere in London.

Hemsworth stars as Gale Hathworne, a stud of a coal miner, and Lawrence as Hunger Games victor Katniss Everdeen in the new film.
