Inter Milan have added Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Etienne Capoue and Chelsea's Samuel Eto'o to their summer wish list as the club prepare to embark upon an extensive squad overhaul at the end of the season.

The Serie A giants are close to agreeing a contract with Manchester United skipper Nemanja Vidic while reports suggest club officials have travelled to England for discussions with his teammate Patrice Evra and Arsenal's Bacary Sagna, who are also nearing the end of their contracts.

Reports in both the Italian and British press claim Inter's technical director Piero Ausillio travelled to London to discuss moves with the two Frenchmen. But the Mirror suggests he has stuck around to hold talks with Tottenham over a possible move for France international Capoue this summer while the Mail suggest he has also sounded out the possibility of bringing Samuel Eto'o back to the San Siro.

Capoue, who has struggled to impose himself on the first team since his summer move from Toulouse, was the subject of interest from Napoli during the January transfer window. But Rafa Benitez's side were unable to come up with an offer that satisfied Tottenham and were forced to abandon their pursuit, albeit temporarily.

Eto'o, who was an integral member of the Inter side that won a Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League treble in 2010, has been the preferred choice up front at Stamford Bridge this season, but has yet to be offered a new deal by the club after signing a one-year deal last summer.

While the former Barcelona striker has dismissed suggestions of a rift between himself and Jose Mourinho following the manager's disparaging remarks regarding his striking options, his future remains uncertain with no sign of talks over a new deal.

The Blues are likely to pursue an established, world class striker this summer with Radamel Falcao and Diego Costa the calibre of players being considered.

Any arrivals are almost certain to push Eto'o further down the pecking order and Inter could be prepared to offer him the chance to replicate his stunning form for the Nerazzurri once more.

After signing Brazilian midfielder Hernanes from Lazio in January, Inter are expected to add a number of names to their squad this summer. Owner Erick Thohir is prepared to back the club financially and ensure they improve on the form that sees them sat fifth in Serie A, 26 points off leaders Juventus.
