Iranian authorities have claimed that they spotted and filmed a U.S. aircraft carrier near the Strait of Hormuz.
The Strait of Hormuz, the strategic oil-transit channel, has become the latest focal point of tensions between Iran and the United States.
"Closing the Strait of Hormuz for Iran's armed forces is really easy," Iran's navy chief Habibulah Sayari said.
The strait is currenly being used by the Iranian Navy for 10 days of military drills.
