A man has been charged with the murder of Tracy Goodwin Getty

A man is sue to appear at Bexley Magistrates' Court on Wedneday charged with the murder of his partner at their Kidbrooke home.

Ronald Bacon was this morning charged with killing Tracy Goodwin on Tuesday at their south east London home.

The 63-year-old, of Langbrook Road, will appear in custody when his case is expected to be sent to the crown court.

Metropolitan Police launched a murder investigation in the early hours of Tuesday (24 February) to reports a woman had been stabbed at her home.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the address but a 56-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Although officers await formal identification, they are satisfied that the deceased is Ms Goodwin.

Detective Inspector Mick Norman of the Homicide and Major Crime Command leads the investigation.

Bacon was was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and charged as above.
