Liverpool have confirmed they have agreed a deal to sign Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan on a free transfer.

Bogdan, 27, will join the Merseyside club on 1 July when his deal at the Macron Stadium expires.

He becomes the club's third signing of the summer following confirmation of deals for Manchester City's James Milner and Danny Ings of Burnley.

All three will join Liverpool on free transfers having reached the end of their contract, although Brendan Rodgers' side will be required to pay a compensation fee for Ings.

Bogdan, who made 120 appearances for Bolton during his eight years at the club, impressed against his new employers when they met in the FA Cup fourth round at Anfield in January.

The goalkeeper is likely to provide competition for first choice option Simon Mignolet after the club released Brad Jones at the end of his contract.

In a statement released by the club, Bolton thanked the player who had become their longest serving player at the time of his departure.

"Everyone connected with Bolton Wanderers would like to thank Adam for his contributions during his time with the Whites and wish him well in his future career."
