Liverpool are considering a move in signing Chelsea and Arsenal summer target Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to the Express.

The Paris Saint-Germain star has been a transfer target for the London clubs as both the Blues and the Gunners are reportedly looking to bring the forward to the Premier League in the ongoing transfer window.

The Merseyside club were keen on signing Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy. However, the French international has reportedly failed his medical, which saw the Reds end their interest in the striker.

Liverpool lost their star player of the last season, Luis Suarez to Barcelona. The former Ajax man's departure has left Brendan Rodgers with Daniel Sturridge, summer signing Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini as the first choice strikers in the squad.

However, Borini is attracting interest from Sunderland as their manager Gus Poyet has publicly admitted the Black Cats' interest in signing the Italian forward. Should the Italian attacker leave Anfield, Rodgers will be left with Sturridge and Lambert as the only recognised players.

Lavezzi had an impressive last season with the French capital club, guiding them to their second consecutive league title. The 29-year-old could be heading for a PSG exit this summer.

Another report from the Express suggests that the Ligue 1 champions are willing to allow the Argentine international leave his current employers. PSG have dropped a hint that Lavezzi could be on his way out of the Parc des Princes after not including him in the club's latest advertisement of their new kit.

PSG are willing to sell Lavezzi to interested clubs for £18m and Liverpool are willing to meet the Paris outfit's asking price. Should the Reds seal a deal for the PSG forward, it is likely to bolster their attacking division for the new season.

At the same time, it will be a blow for Chelsea and Arsenal as they were keen on landing Lavezzi this summer.
