A young woman was subjected to a sexual assault which lasted for three stops in front of fellow passengers, in central London.

An appeal has been launched to catch the attacker, who struck after the woman boarded a packed Piccadilly Line train at Green Park, during rush hour.

He molested the woman for three stops, until she fled the train at Leicester Square. CCTV captured his image (above) and British Transport Police (BTP) have appealed for help.

Detective Constable Allan McTaggart of BTP said: "This incident was understandably very upsetting for the victim, and we are doing everything we can to find the man responsible.

"We take all reports of sexual offences very seriously and won't tolerate any kind of unwanted sexual behaviour on the rail network. If you recognise the man pictured – who we believe can help us with our investigation – please contact BTP."
