A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a house in Weybridge. The body of the woman, who was in her 30s, was discovered at a property in St George's Hill on Saturday (21 May) morning, Surrey Police confirmed.

A man, also in his 30s, was found at the scene with "serious injuries" and was taken to hospital for treatment. Police officers went to the house after being alerted by an ambulance crew shortly after 10am.

A house on a nearby private residential street, Crossfield Place, close to Weybridge Station, was cordoned off. Several police cars were stationed outside the property.

The victim has not been formally identified, but police have established her identity and informed her family, Sky News reports.

Detective Chief Inspector Jason Taylor said: "This is a tragic incident and we will do all we can to support the woman's family."
