A body has been found following the discovery of a human leg near a social club in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.
Lancashire Police mounted a search of the area near Healey Conservative Club in Market Street, Whitworth, after a dog walker found the limb in the afternoon on Sunday 21 September.
Police have revealed enquiries are still ongoing to discover the identity of the body.
A police spokesman said: "Officers were called shortly before 2.45pm on 21 September to a report that a member of the public had found a human leg on land behind Healey Conservative Club in Whitworth.
"Police searched the area to locate further body parts and the rest of the body was found nearby."
