Manchester City face Bayern Munich in the midweek Group E Champions League clash at the Etihad on Tuesday evening.

Where to Watch Live

Kick-off is at 7:45pm GMT. Live coverage is on ITV 1 and UTV. Radio commentary of the game will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Overview

The Premier League champions suffered a 2-1 defeat to CSKA Moscow in their last European fixture. In the same game, City midfielders Yaya Toure and Fernandinho were sent off and will now miss the Bayern clash on Tuesday.

The defeat against the Russian side has seen Manuel Pellegrini's side slump to the fourth spot in Group E with 2 points after four games. City are also two points behind second and third place CSKA and AS Roma.

The Italian outfit will face CSKA in the other Group E fixture and a victory for either of the clubs and a defeat for City against Bayern will end the Cityzens' hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola's side have already qualified for the last 16 of the Europe's elite club competition after winning the first four matches. The Bundesliga winners would be looking for another win when they face City at the Etihad.

What Managers Say

Manuel Pellegrini: "My own pressure to continue to the next round is an important pressure - more maybe than the owners. Of course, I think we must be in the next stage. A lot of times you don't reach the target you are supposed to do... but we have to play two more games and we will see what happens."

Pep Guardiola: "We can't just be here for fun. We have come here to play. It's very important for the club. At the end of the day, we are Bayern Munich. We're very happy that we are through to the knockout rounds. The Champions League is a very prestigious competition, and that goes for the club, me as coach and the players. But we want to produce a performance."
