Overview

United saw their unbeaten run in the Premier League come to an end when they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal in the last tie at the Emirates. Granit Xhaka's deflected long-range shot in the first half gave them the lead.

The Gunners doubled the lead minutes later when Danny Welbeck headed the ball past David de Gea. The Red Devils will be disappointed to have suffered the defeat and will look to bounce back on Thursday.

Jose Mourinho's side already have a 1-0 lead from the first leg when Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the match. United will be looking to keep a clean sheet in order to make it to the final of the Europa League.

Celta enter this tie after suffering a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Malaga in the La Liga. The defeat in the league has now seen them go without a win in the last five matches played across all competitions.

The Spanish outfit conceded in the first leg that was played in Spain. United have an advantage of an away goal and Celta will have an uphill task in bouncing back from their recent performances in the second leg.

Eduardo Berizzo will be hoping his side do not concede against United as that could possibly end their hopes of qualifying for the final. Celta will be hoping that they can upset the Red Devils on Thursday.

What managers say

Jose Mourinho: "Sergio had a couple of very important saves and the way we started the game and controlled the game in the first half, I think we deserve a better result. But the opponent was difficult, the match was difficult, the stadium was difficult, so I cannot be happier with the players and their work. 1-0 is really a short result. It could have been better, and seeing Celta's trajectory in the Europa League, they definitely deserve respect for the away match. The players that are in accumulation, the players that are with lots of minutes because we played nine matches in April and this one, so 10 matches in four-and-a-half weeks," Mourinho was reported as saying by the Daily Mail.

Eduardo Berizzo: "We will have to go and score a goal as we did other times. It was a physical game in the air, with plenty of disputes for the second ball. In the first half we were disadvantaged and in the second we were better. This will force us to attack in the return match. We are ready. We have confidence in the fact our attack is freed. I retain the fact we have competed. We will go to England to make a great game and get a great result. We're keeping our chances, it's not over. What happened in the first leg showed us how to play back," Berizzo told Goal.com.
