Maya Hawke Marries Christian Lee Hutson: Fans Notice Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp's Absence

Maya Hawke, daughter of actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, marked Valentine's Day with a surprise wedding in New York City. The 27-year-old Stranger Things star exchanged vows with her long-time boyfriend, 35-year-old singer and musician Christian Lee Hutson, in a ceremony that drew both family and famous friends.

But it's not just Hawke's wedding that's making buzz online. The ceremony has become a Stranger Things reunion more than a month after the Netflix hit show concluded, but fans were quick to notice the absence of co-stars Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp.

Valentine's Day Nuptials

Hawke wore a white silk gown paired with a feathered winter coat, while Hutson opted for a classic tuxedo complete with a white shirt, vest, and boutonniere. Her parents were present: Thurman in a light blue gown and Hawke in an all-black ensemble. Their son, Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke, also attended.

The guest list included Kathryn Newton, Sam Nivola, and Iris Apatow, alongside Hawke's Stranger Things co-stars Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery. One of the show's creators, Ross Duffer, was also spotted.

The couple said their 'I dos' in New York City during a surprise wedding with a very famous front row. Reports said that the wedding was supposed to be secret, but paparazzi had spotted them in NYC.

A Stranger Things Reunion with Notable Absences

The wedding doubled as a cast reunion, but fans quickly noticed who weren't there. Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp, two of the show's most recognisable stars and close friends, were absent.

On social media, fans questioned their absence. One fan wrote on X: 'How come Noah and Millie are always missing from this group?' Another one echoed: 'wait is millie not there??'

Fans are saying the same thing on Instagram. One wrote: 'I've been noticing Noah and Millie missing a lot of these post-ST events where most of the cast is in attendance.'

One fan thinks that it's not necessary for all the Stranger Things stars to be present. They wrote: 'Some people are just coworkers and that's okay.' As of writing, neither Brown nor Schnapp has commented.

Maya and Christian's Relationship

Hawke and Hutson confirmed their engagement in early 2025, when SoCal Sound Session host, Julie Slater, referred to Hawke as Hutson's fiancée. A couple of months later, Hawke was photographed in Manhattan wearing a diamond ring.

The couple first met while recording music years ago and have been collaborating since. The actress has spoken openly about their relationship, telling the Zach Sang Show in 2024: 'I cannot recommend highly enough dating your friends. It's the best. They know you, they understand that you are a person and a human being who has dated other people ... not just a piece of paper for them to project their image of a perfect girlfriend onto.'
