Republican Mitt Romney cruised to an easy victory over top rival Rick Santorum and is moving one step closer to clinching the party's battle for the presidential nomination.

Speaking to packed crowds in Illinois, he made an interesting observation that the US used to lead the world in manufacturing but now leads the world in lawsuits.

Romney used this speech to launch a thinly veiled attack on Barack Obama's law background, whilst touting his own so- called humble business background. But whether a law or a business background contender, makes a difference to the US voting public, remains to be seen.
