This day just keeps getting better for Team GB and Britain as we score another Gold medal in the women's rowing. Katherine Grainger captured the Olympic gold at her fourth attempt, winning the women's double sculls with Anna Watkins at Eton Dorney. Since teaming up with Watkins in 2010, she has not lost a race and the pair set a new Olympic record in the heats. She told the BBC "It was worth the wait."

Still in the water, and this time it was the Men's turn to add to the medals, as Northern Ireland's Alan Campbell followed up Grainger and Watkins' success by winning a bronze, in the single scull .And the men's pair of Will Satch and George Nash also took bronze, as Britain's rowing medal haul swelled to six.

And out on the athletics track, Jessica Ennis, had a fantastic result in the 100m hurdles. She won her race in 12.54 seconds - the fastest time ever recorded for the hurdles in the heptathlon and she will she will be competing in the high jump, shot-put and 200m heats today.

Theses latest additions to the hardware means we are now fourth out of 204 countries with 18 medals in all.
