The official line-up for 2016's Parklife festival has been confirmed with acts such as The Chemical Brothers and Major Lazer set to headline. Joining them in Manchester's Heaton Park will be chart-toppers Jess Glynne and Years & Years as well as iconic rapper Busta Rhymes, grime star Stormzy, returning superstar Craig David and producer Jamie xx.

The weekend-long event will also see Ice Cube, who rose to fame as a founding member of groundbreaking US rap group NWA, performing. Also playing the festival – which is expected to attract 70,000 people per day – are the Grammy-nominated Wolf Alice, grime kingpin Lethal Bizzle and indie favourites Circa Waves. The video below, which features animation by artist Kate Moross, details the entire roster expected to appear.

Other acts include Katy B, WSTRN, Kano and Bastille, who are expected to release their follow-up to the platinum-selling Bad Blood this year. Mista Jam, Annie Mac, Jamie Jones and Nina Kraviz will be among the DJs. And if that's not enough, even more artists are expected to be announced over the next couple of days before tickets go on sale this week.

Last year's event saw the likes of Disclosure and Rudimental headline, as well as memorable performances from Wu-Tang Clan, Mark Ronson, George Ezra and FKA Twigs, while back in 2014, Snoop Dogg, Foals and Sam Smith were just some of the big names on the line-up.

Parklife 2016 will take place 11-12 June, with general tickets available to buy from 9am on Thursday 11 February through the official website. Pre-sale will be opened to those who sign up a day earlier at the same time.
