Real Madrid beat Getafe 5-1 to keep up the pressure on La Liga leaders Barcelona Reuters

Real Madrid will look to continue their impressive La Liga form when they host Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabeu on 20 April.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is set for 7pm BST. The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 3 HD.

Overview

Real Madrid swept aside Getafe with ease at the weekend to close the gap on La Liga leaders Barcelona to just one point. Zinedine Zidane's side are on a seven-match winning run in the league, scoring 27 times in that sequence.

Full-back Daniel Carvajal is carrying a knock and is a doubt, but Danilo is available after serving a one-match ban.

Villarreal's four-match winning run in all competitions came to an end as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Rayo Vallecano. The Yellow Submarine lost five of their last six away matches against Real, but beat the Madrid club 1-0 in the reverse fixture in December.

Jaume Costa, Tomas Pina and Mateo Musacchio are all sidelined through injury for the visitors, but Bruno and Antonio Rukavina both return from bans.

What managers say

Zinedine Zidane: "The good thing for us is that mentally we are in a good place. [Against Getafe] we gave a rest to Gareth [Bale] and Karim [Benzema]. We will see what happens later. [Ronaldo] has been playing well, he scored today. When Cristiano scores he is always happier."

Marcelino: "Rayo did more things to win than us. We didn't win because we didn't do enough. We weren't so strong defensively, and in the second half we lacked attacking capacity. [Tiredness] isn't an excuse for the defeat, but we still have fourth place in our hands. I hope we play 11 v 11 at the Bernabeu."
