Robert Pattinson has revealed his dislike for the nickname R-Patz. The 27-year-old British born actor said that he is not pleased with the person who came up with the moniker, during an interview with the German edition of Interview magazine.

"I'd like to strangle the guy who came up with it!" he said, adding it must be "some fat celebrity blogger".

The Remember Me actor had also commented on the nickname, in an interview with Today in November 2012.

"I don't understand what the nickname culture is," Pattinson said then, "If I could figure out a way to get rid of that, it'd be amazing. It does sound like an antacid tablet."

Pattinson began acting in school and at the age of 14 appeared in a Chinese fashion magazine modelling underwear. He shot to fame with his role as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and soon after, his turn as the vampire Edward Cullen in the movie Twilight turned him into a heart-throb.

"The real odd thing about this Twilight target group is that they aren't really teenagers," he said of Twilight fans, "Most of them are older. Twilight has its own parallel world, its own fan culture that has been forming on the net since day one. And in an intense way that has never existed before. Sometimes I ask myself what these masses of people do the whole day. They sit in front of their computers and comment on anything having even remotely to do with Twilight."
