A fleet of Russian warships entered the English Channel on 28 November, according to state-owned RIA Novosti news agency.

According to RIA, anti-submarine ship Severomorsk is leading the Northern Fleet squadron for "exercises".

However, the agency said that a storm forced the fleet to leave the Straits of Dover and is now back in neutral waters of the Seine Bay for the time being.
