Shrewsbury Town take on Manchester United in the fifth round of the FA Cup clash at Greenhous Meadow on 22 February, Monday.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is at 7.45pm GMT. Live coverage is on BT Sport 2. Radio commentary of the game will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Overview

Shrewsbury Town have been very impressive in this season's FA Cup as they have already defeated Cardiff City in the third round, followed by a comeback in the fourth round clash against Sheffield Wednesday. They will be looking for another victory in order to seal a place in the quarter-final of the competition.

Micky Mellon's side have conceded only two goals in this season's FA Cup, which came during their 3-2 victory over Wednesday. They have managed to keep a clean sheet in the remaining four matches. Shrewsbury will be hoping to extend their defensive record when they face the Red Devils on Monday.

United come into this fixture after a disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of FC Midtjylland in the Europa League last 32 tie. It was their second straight defeat and they are without a win in the last three matches.

Louis van Gaal is under pressure at Old Trafford and the Dutchman is aware that a defeat in the FA Cup could cost his job at Old Trafford. The winner of this fixture will face West Ham United at home in the quarter-final clash.

What managers say

Micky Mellon: "He [my son] will be supporting his dad because his mother has told him. He needs to know where his bread is buttered and it is still getting buttered at our house. He has been at the club since he was four and they have totally brainwashed him into being everything United. Somebody said to me it's a one-off game and asked if I would be telling my players to play the game and not the occasion."

Louis van Gaal: "When you see the last two games, it is maybe like that. But then we have to make them fear again. It is a question of winning matches in a row. You cannot continue with losing and the question is how we are lifting ourselves for this game because Shrewsbury shall also fight [like Midtjylland] for the second balls and play direct and that kind of thing, and you have to cope with that."
