The 500<sup>th episode of The Simpsons is due to air on 19 February and IBTimes UK celebrates with the top 10 little known Simpsons' facts.

The landmark episode will be called "At Long Last Leave" and feature controversial WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

In the show, the Simpsons discover that everyone in Springfield is finally sick of them and wants them out of their beloved home town.

The milestone is being marked with multiple celebrations by fans throughout the world. A Simpsons marathon of back-to-back episodes will be shown over four days.
