Italy face Scotland in Rome on 27 February in the third round of fixtures in this year's Six Nations championship. Both sides once again find themselves battling to avoid the wooden spoon after losing their opening two games of the tournament.

Italy narrowly lost their opening match against France 23-21 in Paris, before being demolished 40-9 by England in Rome. Scotland meanwhile succumbed to a 15-9 defeat against England at Murrayfield before losing an enthralling encounter with Wales 27-23 in Cardiff.
