The last Grand Slam of the year kicks-off in New York with the 2015 US Open starting on 31 August. Marin Cilic is the Men's Singles champion, while Serena Williams won the Women's Singles championship in 2014 and both will be looking to defend their title.

World No 1 Novak Djokovic and five-time US Open winner Roger Federer were knocked out in the semi-final in 2014. The duo are the firm favourites to win the tournament as they are the top two seeded players for this year.

Great Britian's hope will be pinned on Andy Murray and he will face Nick Kyrgios in the first round. Murray will join Federer, Stan Wawrinka, Tomas Berdych, Rafael Nadal and Cilic in stopping Djokovic win this year's US Open.

Third seed Maria Sharapova has withdraw from the tournament after injury forced the Russian tennis star to sit out of this year's US Open. Defending champion Williams will face Vitalia Diatchenko in the first round and she will be hoping to win the Grand Slam for the seventh time in her career on home soil.

Williams is on the verge of winning all four Grand Slam titles in a calendar year as she has already won the Australian Open, the French Open and Wimbledon.
