Former One Direction star Zayn Malik has allegedly been caught sending flirty messages to a reality TV star – just weeks after his high-profile split from fiancée Perrie Edwards.

According to The Sun, Malik messaged Celebrity Big Brother star Chloe Goodman, 22, weeks after he reportedly dumped the Little Mix singer, also 22, via text message.

Zayn, 22, allegedly asked her on Twitter: "Do you have a boyfriend at the mo?"

The paper said that Goodman – who is dating Scunthorpe United player Jordan Clark – replied that she was in a relationship.

A friend told The Sun: "Chloe was quite shocked by the messages. She knew Zayn had only just split from Perrie and couldn't believe he was already looking elsewhere.

"She told him she had been with her boyfriend for a long time. He seemed to accept that, and told her if he hadn't asked he would have ended up being 'rude'.

"His intentions in messaging her were pretty obvious."

A spokesman for Goodman – who has also appeared in MTV's Ex On The Beach – declined to comment to the paper.

Surprise split

Malik and the former One Direction star and Little Mix singer recently put their £4.2m ($6.6m) pad on the market, just two months after they set up home together.

Malik, who popped the question in August 2013, is said to have ended their romance in July via text, leaving his partner "devastated," according to sources.

Meanwhile, One Direction have topped the UK singles chart with their new single Drag Me Down, setting a new record for the highest ever first-week streams in the UK.

The group unexpectedly released the new single from their upcoming fifth album on 31 July, just two days after Malik upset fans by reportedly suggesting that he left the group in order to make "real music".

Malik recently signed a solo music deal with RCA Records, the American flagship behind Sony Music Entertainment. One Direction's fifth album will be released later this year.
