Barcelona playmaker Andres Iniestsa has welcomed the arrival of striker Luis Suarez, saying that the signing of the 27-year-old Urugyuan will mark a new era of success at the club.

Suarez joined the Catalans from Liverpool for £75m in the summer, but due to a Fifa ban for biting Italian player Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup in Brazil, he will not be able to don the blue and red stripes until 26 October.

Barcelona will kick start their Champions League campaign this season with a home tie against Cypriot side APOEL Nicosia on 17 September.
