Third-tier Spanish outfit Villanovense are in with a real chance of pulling off one of the all-time great giant-killings when they travel to the Nou Camp to face Barcelona in the last 32 stage of the Copa del Rey on 2 December.

Where to watch

Kick-off is set for 7pm GMT. The game is not scheduled for live broadcast in the UK.

Overview

A much-changed Barcelona team could only secure a goalless draw in the first leg of their Copa del Rey tie against Villanovense – a game that was brought forward to October to ease the Catalan giants' winter schedule. Luis Enrique's side have been in excellent form since then, winning six straight matches and conceding just once.

The hosts are likely to put out a reasonably strong side to avoid a repeat of the first leg. Midfielder Sergi Roberto may return to the starting XI after missing the weekend win over Real Sociedad with an ankle sprain, but long-term knee injury victim Rafinha is still sidelined.

Villanovense have lost all five of the matches they have played since holding Barcelona to a draw at the Estadio Romero Cuerda. The Extremadura-based outfit are on a seven-match winless run in all competitions extending back to mid-October. Midfielder Juanfran was sent off for two bookable offences in the defeat against Cartagena at the weekend but is eligible to play as the mandatory one-match ban does not apply in the Copa del Rey.

What managers say

Luis Enrique: "I don't have the feeling this is our best moment. I believe last season we played better. We are playing very well, which is what is important to me. The team are enjoying themselves, that is undoubtable. We hope our best moment is still to come."
