Barcelona will look to extend their winning run in La Liga to five matches when they host Villarreal at Camp Nou on 6 May.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is set for 5.30pm BST. The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 5 HD.

Overview

Barcelona maintained top spot in La Liga with a 3-0 win over local rivals Espanyol at the Cornella-El Prat on 29 April. The Catalan giants can go three points clear at the top of the table with victory over Villarreal, with second-placed Real Madrid not in action until later in the evening at Granada.

Captain Andres Iniesta could return for the hosts after he missed the Espanyol match with a muscle injury.

Cedric Bakambu scored twice to help Villarreal beat Sporting Gijon 3-1 at El Madrigal on 28 April. Fran Escriba's side are five points adrift of Sevilla in the last Champions League qualifying spot with three games left in the season.

Bruno (knee), Victor Ruiz (ankle) and Alvaro Gonzalez (hip) are all sidelined through injury for the visitors, but defenders Mateo Musacchio and Jaume Costa return from suspension.

What managers say

Luis Enrique: "We have two very clear and precise objectives (La Liga and Copa del Rey) and we are going to give our all for them. We'll face them at 100 percent in terms of strength and energy. I wasn't worried about [Luis] Suarez's poor run because he brings us so much more than goals. But it's clear that for a striker, goals are important. And what's very clear is that goals and Suarez will always be united." [via Football Espana]

Fran Escriba: "We're going to have to fight [to qualify for Europe]. We visit Barca and the mentality is to achieve our goals. We will have to give our best until the end of the season. The team is in good shape for the final matches." [via Marca]
