Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Star Brandi Glanville Shares Details About 'Parasite' That Causes 'Fungal Ball' On Her Face
The costly treatment added to her struggles

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville has revealed several diagnoses linked to her ongoing facial health problems, saying the condition has now extended down her right arm.
The 53-year-old reality star shared the update in a series of videos posted to Instagram. She opened up about what she described as some of the worst moments of her prolonged illness.
'It used to only be here, but over the years that not being diagnosed properly, it has spread,' Glanville said while pointing to her face. 'Now it goes down my right arm.'
In another emotional clip, Glanville showed viewers what she described as a large 'fungal ball' in her face.
'It's hard as a rock, and it curves like this,' she described. 'I'm so sick [of it] I just want to cut it out of my face.'
Glanville Lists Four Diagnoses
In the accompanying caption, Glanville said she was finally ready to disclose what she had been fighting.
'I'm finally ready to tell you what I've actually been fighting and to start sharing some of my worst moments leading up to finally getting diagnosed,' she wrote.
She said she had been diagnosed with 'highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis and Mononucleosis.'
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, ESBL-producing bacteria are resistant to certain commonly used antibiotics. Valley fever, meanwhile, is a fungal infection caused by Coccidioides fungi. Demodex are microscopic mites that commonly live in human hair follicles, particularly around the face.
Glanville said the fungal mass will be removed and that she expects further medical procedures. She also said she needs 'metals from old dental work out of my mouth' and that her breast implants need to be removed.
She is also facing '4–6 months of daily IV treatment'.
Treatment Costs Thousands Each Month
Glanville said the financial burden has added to the strain, claiming her treatments cost between $3,300 (£2,500) and $6,000 (£4,540) a month after health insurance.
'They have not been easy,' she said, adding that she is currently unable to work apart from her podcast.
'I'm not able to work right now other than my podcast and I honestly don't know how I'm going to do this mentally or financially,' Glanville said.
She asked followers to 'be nice in the comments', saying she was 'already fighting enough'.
'I just want this s*** OUT of my body,' she concluded. 'I want my health back. I want my life back. I want to feel like me again.'
Glanville has documented her health struggles since 2023, initially believing her symptoms were connected to something she ate while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco. She later described sensations in her face as resembling 'tiny bubbles bursting'.
She was diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema that year and later said she had spent more than $70,000 (£53,000) on treatment. In February 2026, she claimed 21 doctors and $200,000 (£151,000) were needed to identify the root of her problems, which she associated with her ruptured silicone breast implants.
Glanville has continued to describe the condition as a facial 'parasite' and recently shared an ultrasound image of the area before revealing her latest diagnoses.
