Belgian police and a few hundred protesters, including many dockers, clashed in Brussels after a largely peaceful march against reforms and cost-cutting measures.

Several cars were overturned, a police motorcycle was set on fire and officers were pelted with cobblestones and fireworks. Police used tear gas, pepper spray and water cannons to break up the disturbances.

Protesters and police clashed at the end of the march through Brussels, leaving at least 14 people injured.
