American singer/songwriter Taylor Swift is reportedly happy that Scottish singer/DJ Calvin Harris stood by her side during a Twitter war with Zayn Malik.

The social media feud began after the former One Direction star retweeted a post, one quote from Miley Cyrus and another one by the Red singer, on their opinions on music streaming services.

Swift defended her decision to take her music off Spotify, while Liam Hemsworth's former girlfriend said: "I've made my money. If no one buys my album, cool. It's fine. I've got a house, and I've got dogs that I love. I don't need anything else."

The post was accompanied with a caption: "The difference is astounding."

Harris was quick to defend his girlfriend.

According to Hollywood Life, Swift is falling in love for the 31-year-old DJ all over again.

"Taylor is incredibly touched that Calvin stuck his neck out there and defended her. He did it all on his own without Taylor saying anything," a source said. "He knew the whole Spotify controversy is a real sensitive issue with her and he didn't like Zayn stirring the pot."

"Taylor is just in awe that Calvin would do this. It's made her fall even more in love with him," the insider added. "She's never had this kind of love and support in a relationship before. None of her previous boyfriends had her back like this."

"She wants to do something special for him to show how appreciative she is. She's been working on a love song for Calvin but couldn't finish it. His heroics might have been just the inspiration she needed," the source continued.
