Premier Inn guests can still get breakfast after Brewers Fayre closes, although the restaurant format, menu and available offers may differ between hotels.

All Brewers Fayre restaurants are scheduled to close on 7 September 2026 as owner Whitbread PLC withdraws its established restaurant brands and focuses on Premier Inn.

Premier Inn says breakfast, evening meals and drinks will remain available at all its hotels, either inside the property or at an adjoining venue.

Premier Inn Keeps Breakfast Service

In its official guidance for guests, Premier Inn says guests can continue to get breakfast. However, guests should not assume that breakfast will be served in the former Brewers Fayre dining area or that the experience will remain unchanged. The arrangements will depend on what Whitbread has planned for each property.

Some hotels will have an integrated Premier Inn restaurant, while others may provide a dedicated breakfast room. A number of properties will use a restaurant next door that is owned and managed by another company.

The Social, Premier Inn's in-house restaurant format operating at more than half of its hotels, will remain open.

Future of Former Brewers Fayre Sites

Some Brewers Fayre buildings will be converted into Premier Inn restaurant spaces. At selected locations, parts of the former restaurant sites may instead be redeveloped to create additional hotel rooms.

Whitbread expects the wider restructuring to produce approximately 600 extra Premier Inn rooms. Other restaurant properties are expected to be sold, which means the adjoining dining venue may eventually operate under a different owner or brand.

Premier Inn hotels previously connected to Brewers Fayre may offer different arrangements.

Breakfast Prices and Offers May Vary

Premier Inn currently advertises its unlimited cooked breakfast from £10.99 per person and its continental breakfast from £9.99. Its breakfast information says prices and menu items may vary by restaurant and location.

The usual family offer allows up to two children aged 15 or under to eat breakfast free when an adult buys a full Premier Inn Breakfast. However, Premier Inn has warned that offers, including children's free breakfasts and Meal Deals, will vary by hotel during the transition.

Guests should check their chosen hotel rather than assuming that an offer previously available at Brewers Fayre will continue on the same terms.

Guidance for Guests With Existing Bookings

The closure of an attached Brewers Fayre does not automatically mean breakfast will be unavailable. Premier Inn says guests can continue to get breakfast, but the location and service format may vary between hotels.

Before travelling, guests should search for their specific hotel on the Premier Inn website and review its restaurant and breakfast information. Those who have already paid for breakfast or a Meal Deal should also check their booking confirmation.
