Chelsea manager Antonio Conte says "it is not the right moment" to talk about a potential move for Arsenal talisman Alexis Sanchez and is not sure if Victor Moses will be available for his side's crucial clash with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening (5 April).
Sanchez looks set to leave Arsenal at the end of the campaign after growing frustrated with the Gunners' fortunes, and The Telegraph claims the Chilean has designs of moving across London to Chelsea, who are set to spend heavily at the end of the campaign.
Conte refused to be drawn on the speculation surrounding the Arsenal forward, with his focus solely fixed on his side's clash with Manchester City. The Blues may have to make do without wing-back Victor Moses for the visit of the Pep Guardiola's men, as he continues to struggle with a calf problem.
"I don't like to speak about the other players of the other clubs," Conte said in his press conference. "It is disrespectful for the club and my players. It is not the right moment to speak about this."
On the subject of Moses, Conte added: "I don't know if he will be available. We have another day to check the situation in the right way. A couple of situations we have to check and then to make the best decision for the starting XI."
Chelsea beat Manchester City 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium in December thanks to goals from Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and Willian. The clash in Manchester ended in feisty fashion, with Fernandinho and Sergio Aguero both shown red cards in stoppage time.
The Argentine was given his marching orders for a wild challenge on David Luiz, who Conte revealed is still feeling the effects of the Manchester City superstar's horror lunge. The Brazilian's knock is still having to be managed game-by-game but Conte was keen to stress that neither he or Luiz bear a grudge towards Aguero, who is in fine form going into this game.
"I think his knee is better than before, for sure he needs to have treatment and continues to have it," Conte added. "[The incident with Aguero] is not important, when there is a game, if someone is losing the game it can happen this type of situation. I have a lot of respect for Aguero, he is a really good player."
