Chelsea are considering a shock move in signing Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, according to the Italian publication Tutto Mercato Web.

The 33-year-old has been in fine form for the French capital club, scoring 28 goals and managing six assists in all competitions. He played a crucial role in helping his side clinch the title this campaign.

Ibrahimovic has one year left on his contract at Parc des Princes and is set to leave his current employers, with reports suggesting a move to the Major League Soccer (MLS) could be on the cards.

The striker has worked with the Blues manager Jose Mourinho when the two were at Inter Milan. The Swedish international has set his sights on reuniting with his former manager at Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window.

PSG have Edinson Cavani as the other star striker in the squad. The Uruguayan international has been linked with a big money move, with clubs from England and Europe interested in securing his services.

The Ligue 1 champions want to keep Cavani and let Ibrahimovic leave the club. Should the latter continue in France, the former Napoli striker is set for a summer exit, with Atletico Madrid being his next preferred destination.

Laurent Blanc's side have already identified replacements for the former Barcelona and Ajax star. According to French publication Le10sport, PSG have identified Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Barcelona star Neymar as possible replacements for Ibrahimovic.

The player's agent Mino Raiola had offered the striker to his former club Juventus, who have rejected the offer. Ibrahimovic's representative has since then denied his client will return to Italy.

"I do not understand why he is talking so much about Ibrahimovic to AC Milan in these days, in what language do I have to say, I seem to repeat the same things. Zlatan will not return to Milan it is practically impossible," Raiola explained.

Chelsea have Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Didier Drogba as the first choice strikers in the squad. The veteran striker's contract expires this summer and he has not been handed a new deal.

Costa has been impressive in his debut season, but has picked up injuries regularly in the second half of the season. Remy has seen his appearances being limited and with Drogba's contract situation, Mourinho will be in the market to sign a new striker.

With Ibrahimovic reportedly expressing his desire to play under the Portuguese tactician, a move in the summer could be on the cards.
