Liverpool midfielder Suso completed his move to AC Milan on Saturday, the Premier League club confirmed.

The Spaniard had less than six months left on his contract and had rejected a chance to sign a new deal at Anfield. Earlier, IBTimes UK revealed that Suso was in advanced talks to seal a transfer to Milan in the ongoing transfer window, which would benefit all parties involved.

The midfielder has joined the Italian giants and signed a four-and-a-half year contract at Milan.

"Liverpool FC can confirm that midfielder Suso has today completed a permanent transfer to Italian side AC Milan," Liverpool released a statement on their official website.

"The 21-year-old Spaniard departs Anfield for Serie A four-and-a-half years after joining the Reds from Cadiz CF. Everybody at Liverpool thanks Suso for his contribution and wishes him all the best for the future," it added.

Suso joined Liverpool in 2012 and went on to make 21 appearances for the Merseyside club.
