Cristiano Ronaldo looks to be back on side with Real Madrid supporters, with fans no longer booing the prolific striker as he continues to score for the Spanish giants.

Ronaldo has scored 24 times in 20 La Liga appearances, and while the 26 year old is on track to once again fight with Lionel Messi for top scorer in the Spanish league, fans still seemed to take issue with him and made their feelings clear on the sidelines.

Real Madrid legend di Stefano even weighed in on the debate, telling Agencia Atlas: "The whistles against Cristiano Ronaldo? The people in the crowd are the ones who pay, and they are always right.

"If the spectators demand from the players that they do their utmost and score goals, the players shouldn't question this.

"The fans are always right. If they whistle or jeer someone, it's because they want him to be effective."

But now the fans look to have reconciled with Ronaldo, and were seen chanting for him rather than against him as the side defeated Real Zaragoza 3-1 at the weekend.

"I really appreciate the affection shown to me at the Bernabeu," Ronaldo told AS.

While fans were taking issue with Ronaldo, the hitman was linked yet again with a possible move to Manchester United. But now he looks to be settled once more at the Barnebeau, as the side moved seven points ahead of Barcelona in the race for the La Liga title.
